I smell Autumn!

image found on pixdaus
Autumn Fires by Robert Louis Stevenson
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

I don't know whether or not the picture above is a season specific image, or could even be considered a fall picture, but it was just so whimsical and fantastical that I couldn't resist posting it. (I am sorry, I don't know the original artist. Please email if you know!)

I simply cannot wait for autumn! I can smell it in the air....

What a mild summer we have had here in St. Louis!

Well, bring on the Autumn! I am ready for festivals and fairs, caramel apples and pumpkin pie scents. Ready to open my windows and smell the freshly fallen leaves and feel that brisk fall breeze. Ready for hoodies, scarves and gloves. Ready for hot chocolate and smores by the bonfire!

What are your fondest Fall fancies?
