A need for the sea!

I have been thinking about the ocean all day today!  It might have something to do with the 96 degree temperature (with heat index over 100!).  The summertime makes me crave the water.  The ocean is preferable, but even being out on my in-laws fishing boat last week felt nice.  Just that nice, sweet, balmy breeze that accompanies large bodies of water.  I always have thought that in a past life I must have been something that had to do with the water....

I thought I would share this picture with you from Martha Stewart - what a peaceful and serene atmosphere.  What I wouldn't give to feel that ocean breeze on my face, a nice cold drink in my hand, sound of seagulls, the company of a few close friends.... can't you just picture it?

Behold the Sea, The opaline, the plentiful and strong,
Yet beautiful as is the rose in June, Fresh as the trickling rainbow of July;
Sea full of food, the nourisher of kinds, Purger of earth, and medicine of men;
Creating a sweet climate by my breath,
Washing out harms and griefs from memory,
And, in my mathematic ebb and flow, Giving a hint of that which changes not.

  4. I love how you can almost taste the salt in the air...the SMELL of the ocean is overwhelmingly nostalgic!
